Cowboy Butter
Our friends at Taste Europe, Butter of France, shared this spicy mustard "Cowboy Butter" recipe which is perfect on grilled steaks and seafood. Why French Butter? French butter typically has a higher butterfat content compared to American butter. French butter, often contains around 82% butterfat, while American butter usually contains about 80% butterfat. The higher butterfat content in French butter can give it a richer and creamier texture. Yum!
Ingredients
- 1 cup. unsalted French butter
- 4 cloves. garlic minced
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard (click for recipe)
- 1 tsp. prepared horseradish
- 3 Tbsp. dried parsley (MAX pod)
- 1 Tbsp. dried chives (MAX pod)
- 2 tsp. dried thyme (MAX pod)
- 1/2 lemon. juice
Directions
1. INFUSE THE BUTTER Melt butter over the stove over low-medium heat. Add the garlic, paprika and cayenne pepper. Let simmer until fragrant.
2. ADD “HEAT” Add the Dijon mustard and horseradish. Stir until combined.
3. FINISH Turn the heat off and finish off with the herbs and lemon juice.
