Homemade Gingerbread Coffee Syrup
This week’s Sunday Supper features a warm-your-tummy recipe for Gingerbread Coffee Syrup. With this delicious syrup, you can enjoy a little bit of holiday spirit right in your morning coffee! Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 Tbsp. molasses
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon (Grate in the FinaPod GT)
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg (Grate in the FinaPod GT)
- 1/2 tsp. cloves (Grate in the FinaPod GT)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, then immediately reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes.
2. Let cool, then strain through a mesh sieve.
3. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.
